This ten-day guided railtour starts its journey in Vancouver and travels through one of the most beautiful and diverse landscapes in the world, Jasper National Park. The railtour changes to a day cabin aboard BC Ferries as you travel to the Queen Charlotte Islands, a group of islands nestled under the Alaska panhandle.

In order to see so much in such a short time we travel in one direction by boat stopping at the Hot Springs and Skedans sites along the way, and travel the other direction by float plane. Some tours will boat south then fly north and some tours will fly south then boat north to the Ninstints.

This tour requires a reasonable level of health and fitness. You must be able to walk on an uneven beach and get in and out of the boat (the guide will show you how).

This vast wilderness is home to a full range of carnivores, including grizzly bears, mountain lions, eagles, wolves and wolverines. This is the ancestral home of the Haida, a UNESCO Heritage Site with the oldest and finest examples of totem poles in the world.

The group railtour package starts in Vancouver in then to Jasper in the Rockies, Prince George, Prince Rupert ending in the Queen Charlotte Islands for three days. Passengers return by flight to Vancouver.
