National Aboriginal Day Celebrations

The Tzeachten First Nation Members are host to the National Aboriginal Day Celebrations located in Chilliwack, with 500 people in attendance.
Event activities include performances, displays, and food vendors, selling usual fares such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, lemonade, as well as Native foods like fry bread, Indian tacos, wild game and wild rice.
There will be Native craft vendors selling items such as
jewelry, moccasins, shirts, beadwork, and other unique items. Cameras and video cameras are allowed for personal use only. Just be sure to listen to the MC, he will advise you when NOT to photograph. If you want to take pictures of the dancers, be sure to ask their permission.
The event is held on Saturday and Sunday and gives visitors a chance to learn the traditions and enjoy the performances. There is lots of free parking available.
